On October 13, 1917, three shepherd children in Portugal promised a miracle. 70,000 people showed up. Many were skeptics, journalists, and government officials ready to mock them.
The Rain
It had been pouring rain all night. The crowd was standing in ankle-deep mud. Everyone was soaked.
The Dance
At noon, the sun broke through the clouds. It wasn't blinding; it looked like a silver disk. It began to spin like a pinwheel, shooting off colored lights. Then, it detached from the sky and plummeted toward the earth. The crowd screamed. People fell to their knees in the mud, shouting their confessions out loud.
The Dryness
Just as it seemed the world would end, the sun returned to its place. The miracle wasn't just the light show. Everyone was dry. The mud was gone. Their clothes were clean and warm, as if they had just come out of the laundry. Physics says this is impossible. The energy required to evaporate that much water in seconds would have incinerated the crowd.
The message was urgent: "Pray the Rosary every day." Are you listening? MyPrayerTower app.
