THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH (DISCIPLES OF CHRIST) AT CONTINENTAL

Be the first to review

We Are a Christian MovementIdeas of reform, of restoration, of union, and of merger have had their place, but we are actually a Christian movement, and not a restoration movement, nor a merger movement, and it is precisely because we are a Christian movement that we are concerned about Christian unity. But it is Jesus Christ who has been passed on from age to age and whom we received in the teachings of our parents.
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God, and proclaim him Lord and Savior of the world. We have no creeds but Christ. Where the scriptures speak, we speak. Where the scriptures are silent, we are silent.

About The Christian Church at ContinentalWe are a new Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), which met for the first time on September 12,1999. We meet for worship every Sunday at 9:30 AM in the Community Center at beautiful Continental Country Club, a gated community 3 miles east of Wildwood, Florida on Hwy44. We are very informal, with many of our members riding their golf carts to church…and dressed for a round of golf following worship. Most of our members are retired. Even so, we feel we are unique, because God has blessed us with power and possibilities and a potency to be Christ’s own Church family. We have a great time of fellowship, uplifting sermons, super music…and our purpose is, TO BRING OTHERS TO HAVE AN ENCOUNTER WITH CHRIST. Together we will grow in Christian love and unity. We welcome visitors.
