THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF THE INTERCESSOR

Be the first to review

The Church of the Intercessor Mission StatementWe, the Cathedral Church of the Intercessor are
“a house of prayer for all nations” raising up
“households of prayer,” where we pray for our
neighborhoods, listen for God’s direction, and obey what He tells
us to do, so that our families, friends, and neighbors would
receive healing and eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Through our Households of Prayer and community life we
propose to:

Make visible the Kingdom of God to the New York
metropolitan area by bringing the rich sacramental and
liturgical heritage of the early church, the power of
Pentecost and the infallible truth of scripture together
in one expression of Christ’s Church.

Plant churches throughout the northeast, be a home
for all Christians who seek an evangelical, charismatic,
catholic church, and to encourage a lifestyle of devotion
to apostolic teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking
of bread, and to prayer.

Bring unity to the body of Christ by actively seeking
loving relationships with other branches of His Church
regardless of differences in worship, race, ethnicity and
culture.

Serve the Lord through serving the least, the lost
and the lonely with a heart for those addicted or in
recovery.

Strengthen families by helping men take their
biblical place of spiritual headship within their
families, the church and their communities.

As a result, we fulfill our role in the Lord’s command to
“…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit,” and teach them to obey all that Jesus has
commanded, so that our communities, our nation, and all the world
come under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Experience:

Apostolic Teaching
Biblical Preaching
Charismatic Experience
Historic Worship
