ST PHILIP AND ST JAMES

Be the first to review

About us…Our Church is a small Victorian church built in 1862. We are a friendly
congregation and offer a junior church and creche at the main 9.30
Eucharist.
On the first Sunday of Each month we have a very popular Family Eucharist, a shortened service
which is designed especially for children. There is no Junior church on this Sunday as
we feel that it is important for the whole church family to be together.
We run regular nurture groups based on the Emmaus course and have weekday
and evening Bible groups.
We also have an active Mother’s Union, a Women’s Group, girl guides and Scouts.
Marriages Baptisms and Confessions are by arrangement with the Vicar.
Further details from the Vicar on 0181 894 1932

Facilities for hireThe church has a large hall which is available for hire. It is ‘functional’
in design and situated in the church grounds.
There is also a newly built (1997) extention on the side of the church which is ideal for
seminars and comfortably seats 15 people. We can supply, for a small charge, flip charts, OHP’s
and a buffet lunch. Tea and coffee is provided. The setting is very peaceful and is an excellent venue
for a small team that needs to get away for the day.
