ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CHURCH

Be the first to review

Multi Purpose Building
St. Christopher’s Church was dedicated in the year 1927 to the glory of God. The early congregation was mainly made up of English expatriates. The present permenant building was errected in 1967. An additional building was built to cater for kindergarten and other educational needs in 1956.

The Church has since grown and is made up entirely of local people. The present building is grossly inadequate to cater for the various needs of the growing Church. The Children, Women, Youth and Men’s ministries do not have a proper place to meet. One will often find them meeting under the trees or on the walkway besides the church.
The need for another building becomes more acute during festive seasons.

We have decided to build a multi-purpose building to host all
fuctions of the Church, hostels for students and other amenities. The
plans for the building have been submitted for approval by the various
government authorities. In the meantime, we are trusting God to provide
the finances – that would be RM 1.58 million (US$ 800,000).
