Mission Statement, Goals, Objectives, Dev. Activ.Mission Statement- To enhance the continued existence and development of Spelman College as a community of individuals with shared values and commitments. To provide an atmosphere in which growth can occur and religious interest can be met. To provide a pastoral, priestly, and prophetic ministry to the campus and the commmunity. To arrange and organize activities for the care of both women and men in the world through responsible corporate action.
Goals- To minister to the whole person and establish community among those made whole. To foster faith development. To help in shaping society’s future leaders. To provide both support and pastoral care to students, faculty, staff, and administration.
Objectives- To provide an atmosphere for growth. To build cultural and spiritual self-esteem, and self-understanding. To bolster confidence, and enhance learning. To encourage developing competence in decision-making and problem solving. To assist in improving communicative and qualitative skills. To enrich background in the field of religion, as presented within an academic setting.
