Background InformationSaint Michael’s was originally organized in 1914 in Chicago. During the 1960’s, the parish relocated to Niles, a northwest suburb of Chicago. The parish is under the jurisdiction of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese and His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas, headquartered in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The diocese is under Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople. The diocese has more than 70 parishes and six missions in 12 states and Canada.
