Location and AffiliationOur Church is located in an isolated community on Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic. Iqaluit has three cultures: the Inuit, who are the original residents, the English and the French. The population is approximately 3,500.
We have snow for approximately nine months of the year, and Frobisher Bay on which the town is located unfreezes for about two months of the year which enables ocean-going ships to bring in cargo. The winters are very long, cold and dark but the spring and short summers are very bright.
Our congregation is made up of both the native and non native cultures and numbers about forty-five people.
The Church was founded about twenty-five years ago and is affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.
