Be the first to review

The Little Church That CouldAre you looking for a church family where you can be yourself and make a difference? Would you like to be around warm, supportive members of your community?

You will find Harvard Congregational Church to be a small congregation that is revitalized and growing. Our members our supportive and dedicated. While we find that we come from a variety of backgrounds, Harvard Congregational Church is a people who are united in their devotion for Jesus Christ.

Our mission extends outside our church walls into the community. We are devoted to helping those less fortunate through community and worldwide mission projects.

God encourages us to think beyond ourselves. And so we encourage each other to look for new ways to teach and learn. This overflows into our music, study and worship.

We look at our church community as an extended family. We welcome people of all ages and in all walks of life. You are invited to come and join us in a morning of worship, music and reflection.

Church ProgramsWorship
Celebrate God’s word during our Sunday worship. Our ministers bring a creative touch to each service. You’ll find their messages inspiring and meaningful to your everyday life.

Mission
Harvard Congregational Church joins together to give God’s love to others through service projects. A few of our mission activities include “adopting” families in need at Christmas, providing school supplies for Lincoln School students, and raising funds for the International Heifer Project.

Harvard is proud to be a host to PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) on the third and fourth Saturday nights each month. Our members are given the opportunity to help feed and provide shelter for the homeless. Though a small church, we make a difference in the community.

Activities
Harvard church members get together once a month to enjoy each other’s company in a festive atmosphere. Game nights, hayrides and dinners are just a few of the activities. The church offers a full program of dinners, rummage sales, women’s circles and craft sales.

Music
The church is committed to praising God through music. We have an ongoing music program for children and a bell choir. Guest musicians frequently enhance our worship service. A new Mason piano was added to provide musical diversity to our pristine 1922 Mohler pipe organ.

Children’s Programs
Children, from toddlers to sixth graders, meet at 9:00 am each Sunday to learn about faith in a positive and fun atmosphere. Confirmation classes are also held for seventh and eighth graders.

A First Friday Gym Night is held in our building’s gymnasium. There is also a third Friday multi-congregational youth group called SuperKids.

Our Church Building
The vintage 1917 building of Harvard Congregational Church includes a beautiful sanctuary enhanced with stained glass, an auditorium, gymnasium and a social hall decorated as an English garden. Our space is often shared for concerts, lectures and recitals for the community.
