Evangelical: For us, Evangelical is more than just a title, it itself is a statement of belief. It means that we are Gospel (good news) proclaiming and sharing, the good news of Jesus Christ, His death for the forgiveness of our sins and His resurrection for our righteousness and eternal glory.
Lutheran: As Missouri Synod Lutherans, we believe, teach, and confesss what Lutheran Christians have historical confessed as expressed in the Lutheran Confessions. In brief, our Lutheran emphasis of the Christian Faith is “Scripture alone, grace alone, and faith alone,” one of the mottos of the 16th century German Protestant Reformation. Dr. Martin Lutheran, the well-known Church Reformer, led this movement, of which it took its name “Lutheran” from, although Luther to his dying day considered himself a Catholic.
