EASTERN BROTHERS OF SAINT FRANCIS

Be the first to review

VISIONWe envision a community of disciples and zealous missionaries, open yet
critical to the “signs of the times”, rooted in the tenets of CHRISTIAN
ORTHODOXY, while respective of the indigenous religio-cultural Filipino
traditions, inspired by the Universal Spirit, Life and Poverty of
St. Francis of Assisi; bonded together as witnessing disciples of Jesus
Christ, who are fully committed with the Gospel imperatives of Freedom,
Justice, Peace and Solidarity. We journey together as one and united with
the Filipino peoples’ struggles, dreams and inspiration towards the
realization of our WELL-BEING in harmony w/ the whole Creation.

MISSIONIn the light of the “sitz-em-leben” and in consonance with our vision,
the Eastern Brothers of St. Francis promotes Ecumenical collaboration
through formative and pastoral endeavors, while trusting in its members,
families and communities’ inherent capabilities of self-determination and
communal transformation.
