CHURCH BRIEF HISTORY:In the year 1889, in Wrightville, Arkansas, Chief Bishop William Christian, (FREED SLAVED),vision was to organized a church with the name that is given by God, Himself. A church that is Biblical and Bible Base and that name is what we are callED by today, “The Church of the Living God”, 1st Timothy 3:15. And we have adopted as our motto: “Christian Workers For Fellowship”.
Our church is governed by an (Executive Board OF BISHOPS), which is made up of A Chief Bishop, Vice Bishop, 12 Bishops for each district, Overseers, Elders, Evangelists and Missionaries.
We believe in the IMMERGING BY Water Baptism, the Washing of Feet, and the Lord’s Supper taken by Water and Unleavened Bread. And we believe in the prayer that Jesus Christ taught to His Disciples in Matthew 6:9.
Each Temples in the Brotherhood is given a Temple Number whereby they are recognized. In the month of August on the 21st day in the year of our Lord 1952 Temple #21 was organized in the City of San Francisco, CA, but in 1999 the members of temple #21 decided to pick-up an move the church to the City of Pittsburg, CA., ON AUGUST 26TH, 2001 AT 10;30 am we were blessed to move into a church building we purchased for worship at: 1107 Harbor Street, Pittsburg, CA 94569.
