CHAPEL STREET CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Be the first to review

OUR VALUESThese are the values we hold to as we pursue our mission, recognising that every believer will struggle at some point with various aspects of church life.

1. We believe in the priorities of worship and prayer in the life of every believer and in the church.

2. We believe in the centrality of the Bible and that gifted teaching is important for change and growth.

3. We believe that all people are important to God and therefore should be important to us.

4. We believe we should remain relevant to society whilst remaining true to the Bible.

5. We believe that Christians should live authentic Christian lives, and seek for continuous growth.

6. We believe the church is a servant community of Christians, using their gifts in the service of all.

7. We believe that loving relationships should be reflected in every aspect of church life.

8. We believe that doing things well honours God and inspires people.

9. We believe that people should lead the church with leadership gifts.

10. We believe that wholehearted commitment to Christ, His Body and His cause.

THE VISION FOR CHAPEL STREET CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIPOUR VISION IS

To become, with the help and direction of the Holy Spirit, a growing, vibrant and dynamic Christian community, which is a community embracing of all ages.

To build a church which is distinctive and known for its passion and commitment to the preaching of the word of God, for its compassion and concern for the wider community and its love and support for the Christian community.

To create a safe a safe environment where people can seek Jesus in an intimate way. Where they encounter the Holy Spirit and become Spirit-filled and find freedom in His presence to worship God in Spirit and In Truth.

To live a Christian life worthy of the calling of God on our lives; where biblical teaching is relevant to our lives and relevant to our response to the world around us, both local and universal.

To encourage the operation of the supernatural gifts of God, in order that the church will be full of people who are full of the power of God, where we will see people healed and made whole.
