Who are weA Contemplative Benedictine Community of monks founded in 1996 and dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary and with whom, they sit at the foot of the Cross of Christ supplicating for the World, through a life of prayer, work and study in the framework of the Rule of Saint Benedict. The Community leads a monastic life without any outside ministry. The celebration of the Liturgy, is of central importance. Following the Morning and Evening Offices silent mental prayer is nourished by the Biblical texts heard during the liturgical celebrations is shared in common. Lectio Divina is emphasised in the daily horarium.

The period of formation before solemn profession is 4.5 years
Aspirant 2 – 6 months
Postulant 2 – 3 Months
Novice 1 year, though can be extended by a further 6 months
Temporary Vows 3 years, though can be extended by a further 1 year
Solemn Vows
After Solemn Profession a monk may receive the Holy Orders of Deacon & Priest.
