AGAPE OF JESUS/CHRIST’S CHURCH (ANGLICAN DIOCESE)

Be the first to review

BACKGROUND

We are openly saddened by the divisions in the community of Christ’s followers. In the Congregational and Community tradition we are calling the world to Christ Jesus as Savior. We are a valid, independent Church that is very much within the open Church movement and the Congregational, Community, and Episcopal/Anglican Old Catholic tradition. We are tolerant of other beliefs and practices.
Mission congregations operate in homes, retreat centers, and church buildings in Indiana, Ohio, Arizona, California, Brazil, New Zealand, Colombia, Peru, Texas, and Mexico. Each congregation very much governs its own affairs under the protection and guidance of the Holy Spirit with advice and encouragement from the pastor/bishop. We are open to establishing congregations with you. In starting a congregation in your community our support and guidance could be most beneficial.
Christ’s Church is an Independent Church with valid Old Catholic, Anglican, Antiochian, Protestant, and Russsian Orthodox orders. Our bishops seek to help other jurisdictions and to be tolerant of others thoughts, beliefs, practices, and choices under the freedom of the Holy Spirit.
Our policy is open in that we ordain prepared and called men and women who are single or married. Service to the Lord is our intention and our expectation of clergy. God calls people from varied backgrounds and we embrace liturgies of a wide variety of forms.
We are truly Community, Congregational, Protestant, Christian, Catholic, and Episcopal.
