Jan 18-25 is the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. (It ends on the Conversion of St. Paul).
The Scandal
Jesus prayed at the Last Supper: "That they may all be one... so that the world may believe that you have sent me." (John 17:21). Our division is a scandal. It makes it harder for the world to believe.
What is Ecumenism?
It is NOT watering down the truth to make everyone happy. It IS praying together, working together for the poor, and distinct theological dialogue. We believe the fullness of truth subsists in the Catholic Church, but we recognize our separated brothers and sisters as Christians.

A Prayer for Grace
As you reflect on these spiritual truths, we invite you to join us in this prayer:
"Lord Jesus, we thank You for the wisdom of the Church and the witness of the saints. Grant us the grace to live out our faith with joy and perseverance. May our prayers be a sweet incense rising to Your throne, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen."
