"Ordinary" doesn't mean boring. It comes from the Latin ordinalis (numbered). We count the weeks (1st Sunday, 2nd Sunday...).
The Color Green
The liturgical color is Green. It represents:
- Hope: Like spring shoots.
- Growth: This is the season to grow in your daily spiritual life. During High Feasts (Christmas/Easter), we sprint. During Ordinary Time, we run the marathon. It is where the real work happens.
Keep growing. Don't stop praying just because the tree is down. MyPrayerTower app.
A Prayer for Grace
As you reflect on these spiritual truths, we invite you to join us in this prayer:
"Lord Jesus, we thank You for the wisdom of the Church and the witness of the saints. Grant us the grace to live out our faith with joy and perseverance. May our prayers be a sweet incense rising to Your throne, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen."
